Thanks for sharing this I ended up buying one as well! Which one did you end up picking?
Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope all of you have a great day! 🎉
Sorry for the weird styling on the post. I think I put some asterisks to accentuate things and those ended up getting tangled with the markdown. Sorry!
I was looking into some more secure emailing protocols and I found some opensource ones. The only thing is, I am not sure how fast they are because I have not seen much testing. If you wanna check them out yourself they are called DMTP (Dark Mail Transfer Protocol) and DMAP (Dark Mail Access Protocol). These were made by the founder of an encrypted emailing service Lavabit under the name The Dark Mail Technical Alliance. I hope to look into all of these, including JMAP very soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have wanted to make an emailing service with a custom client that encrypts the emails at each individual user’s end and at every server. Upsettingly I do not really know much about the IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) or even how to make a service of such nature but it is an idea/want.
That is a pretty sketchy feature to make anyway IMO. If users really wanted to know each others location and both felt comfortable sharing their location they would just simply type it out or send a google maps location/directions link. The only good use would be in the unlikely event of an urgent emergency while emailing which, I’m pretty sure does not happen often enough to make this dangerous feature useful.
I wish you luck in your search for a framework that works for both you and Socii. It can seem endless sometimes but, I believe Socket.io is still great for chat and direct messaging I’m not sure if it has image or video capabilities though I will have to look at the documentation. Anyway, here is a *list** with some frontend frameworks to possibly be used in conjunction if compatible with Zepto or replace it. Whichever decision you make I wish you the best of luck and as always, *happy coding!**
I just recently started using Bootstrap to build my clients websites and the redesign of my personal website. I have not really used any front end frameworks before this *beside my custom one which was terrible. It has made it a hundred times easier for me to build websites that are fast, up-to-date, and responsive. As popular as it is I can’t believe I hadn’t found it sooner. I definitely recommend it!
Even though this social network/platform is still relatively early in development the parts that are done seem like a highly scalable polished web app/network. I’m glad I got here in the relatively early days so I can watch this platform develop.
What happens though when that technology becomes self-aware? Will we simply no longer be able to use the technology to further technology? Would the machine learn it is building its own downfall and quit building it? Would that machine become more efficient so it does not become obsolete?
